This shop is a premium butchery dedicated to serving the finest imported meat. You will find beef and lamb, and locally sourced poultry and pork. They have two shops, one in district 2 (No.1 Street 2 in Thao Dien, not far from BIS – British International School) and one in district 7 (401 Pham Thai Buong H11-2, My Khanh 3). You will find sausages, beef tenderloin, pork ribs, beef skewers and so on. You can order online and the delivery is free and quality goes with price. Chicken is around 170,000 – 190,000 VND a kilo.
Annam Gourmet might be the easiest solution if you want to buy meat. They have several shops and also sell everything for expats. You will find 2 shops in district 1 (on Hai Ba Trung & at Saigon Center) and in district 2 in Thao Dien and distrcit 7 in Phu My Hung. They dont have a large choice but they have mainly beef tenderloin, chicken filet and pork. The price is not too pricey, probably cheaper than Meatwork, count 100,000 VND for a piece of beef, 40,000 VND for a piece of chicken filet.
Located on 18 Tran Ngoc Dien street in Thao Dien, this gourmet shop inside the Papagayo restaurant. They have all rare products you can’t find in Saigon such as Duck magret, frozen smoked salmon, as well as endives and mache salad.
The store is a premium butchery offering the largest choice of imported beef and lamb. It is a good value for money. For example, ground beef is 285,000 VND a kg, oyster blade steak is 415,000 VND a kg which is pretty affordable. They have few shops all over Saigon. And if you ever go to the one on 108 Xuan Thuy street in Thao Dien, you can actually have your fresh meat and served it there.
If you are not afraid of the cleanliness, local market can be a very good and cheap place to buy your meat. You will find mainly chicken, beef and pork at very competitive price. Sometime it is even more fresh than at Big C. More sellers are equipped, keeping the meat into a fridge. Prices are around 70,000 VND for a kilo of chicken and 10,000 VND for 100 grammes of minced pork meat.
